CSYSA Audition Information

Approximately 400 young musicians are accepted by audition every year to take part in one of our ten auditioned groups. Over 160 additional students are enrolled in the Mozart String Project (for beginning string players), which focuses on beginning string instruction and is located at sites in Northeast and North-central Colorado Springs. Today, students from over sixty schools around the Pikes Peak region including Pueblo, Castle Rock, and Peyton participate in our programs. The association presents over 60 performances each year regionally, nationally and internationally. The educational program features music camps, performing tours, leadership classes, music theory instruction, a solo competition, exposure to all forms of orchestral literature, chamber music ensembles, and community collaborations.
