Chamber Music Programs
The Youth Symphony Association's Chamber Music Program, directed by Jeri Jorgensen, is an exciting development to reach out to the community and offer an enhanced experience for our advanced musicians. Groups of four to eight musicians, encompassing several string quartets, woodwind quintets and brass quintets, meet once a week to rehearse. The newest, very exciting addition, is the Chamber Music Program is the Baroque Chamber Program. Musicians have the opportunity to learn period-specific repertoire, utilizing the CSYSA harpsichord. They have performed all over the city at nursing homes, schools and other community groups. These performances teach the musicians the value of helping others, showcases the children's talent,
and lets others know a little more about our organization.
