Step into the elegance and energy of the Baroque era with our Baroque Ball, a unique summer camp designed for beginner to intermediate string players. This camp goes beyond the music stand!
Held every Tuesday in June from 6:00-7:30PM at the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony Association (3113 Primrose Dr), this engaging camp invites students to explore the beauty and style of Baroque music. Participants will learn to perform characteristic repertoire while also diving into the artistry behind the music, including stylistic techniques and historical context. Students will learn a traditional Baroque dance, bringing the full spirit of the era to life through movement and collaboration.
The experience culminates on June 30th with a festive Baroque Ball Performance, where families are invited to enjoy an evening of music, dance, and community - dress up and join in the era fun! The celebration will include a potluck of tea-party-style finger foods, creating a warm and memorable finale for all involved.
Whether your student is just beginning their musical journey or building on existing skills, our Baroque Ball offers a creative, immersive, and joy-filled way to grow this summer.
We understand that summer is a busy time - students can participate in as many camp nights as your schedule allows.
Registration deadline is May 28th.
