Woodwind Coach

The 2021-22 school year marks my 16th year of teaching band in Colorado. After teaching high school for two years, I found my niche teaching band at the middle school level. I've been working with middle school students and beginning musicians ever since. I joined the Sabin Middle School team in Colorado Springs District 11 in 2018 and continue to love teaching the middle school aged student!

I grew up in a small farming community in Illinois and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for my Bachelors in Music Education. During the summer of 2018, I completed my graduate degree to earn my Masters of Music Education at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy being outdoors with my husband, step son, and dog, biking, hiking, running, camping, rock climbing, and snowboarding. When time does not allow for a trip into the mountains of Colorado, I love to spend my time in the kitchen, trying new recipes or revisiting some old favorites. Leisure reading with a cup of coffee is also high on my list whether I'm at home or in the mountains.
