Through Music, We are One
We are the most comprehensive instrumental music program for youth in this part of the country. Our mission compels us to provide for artistic development through high quality, diverse music experiences that enrich the cultural environment of local, national and international communities. The Mozart String Project, an outreach program for beginning string players, is offered in school districts where there are no string programs. The Youth Symphony plays for thousands of children and adults yearly, focusing on audiences that have limited exposure to live orchestral music.
Our eight youth ensembles connect families to the life-altering power of musical performance, both in the Pikes Peak Region and around the world. Whether they’re playing at our home base in Colorado Springs at the Pikes Peak Center, or far afield in New York’s Carnegie Hall, New Zealand, China, Australia, Bulgaria or Japan, our students benefit from our comprehensive instrumental music program.
The Colorado Springs Youth Symphony is proud to offer eight individual groups, so that every student at every skill level can learn and celebrate music together.
CSYSA serves students from over sixty schools from the Pikes Peak region including Pueblo, Limon, Castle Rock, Peyton and Canon City. We are honored to bring students together.
Approximately 350 young musicians are accepted by audition every year to take part in one of our programs within The Colorado Springs Youth Symphony.
Music is an incredible tool that connects cultures and communities. We are proud to give students the opportunity to travel the globe and share the message of music.
