Deborah Liles

Deborah is a dedicated music educator and accomplished jazz singer with over 25 years of experience in the field. She holds a degree in Theater and Music Performance and Education from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. As an educator, she is passionate about nurturing young musicians, fostering a love for music, and developing students' technical skills and artistic expression. Deborah has performed nationwide with many jazz professionals, including venues such as The Kennedy Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Blue Note NYC, Hampton Jazz Festival, and so many more.Out of a need for advanced jazz vocal training, she opened The Singers Studio in 1998. She has worked with hundreds of singers and performers in all vocal genres. "All paths have led me to CSYSA", she says. "The mission is encompassing of all my experience, and what our young musicians do makes my heart sing".
