Jim Vaughan

James Vaughn was a member of the string faculty at the University of Northern Colorado, retiring after 23 years in 2013. He has held titled and section positions with the Greeley Philharmonic, Denver Chamber Orchestra, Breckenridge Music Festival, Colorado Ballet, Opera Colorado and the Colorado Springs Symphony Orchestra (now Colorado Springs Philharmonic). He has performed as a substitute bassist with the Colorado Symphony and many of the regional orchestras along the Colorado Front Range. He is a (proud) founding member of an elementary /pre-school music appreciation program, Inside the Orchestra, that brought classical music throughout Denver metro-area schools, churches and synagogues; He is delighted to reprise his role as bass coach with the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony Association.
