David Artley

David Artley holds degrees in Trumpet Performance from Iowa State University, Ames, IA and Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.

He served with The United State Army Field Band, the Army’s premier touring ensemble, from 1985 to 1990, and with The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own”, the Army’s premier Washington, DC Band, from 1994 to 2013. He is an active free-lancer across the Front Range.

As a music educator, he held Adjunct Professor of Trumpet positions at Colorado State University Pueblo and at Denver University’s Lamont School of Music. He has presented masterclasses for high school and university students across the country, and maintains a private studio out of his home in Monument.

He currently is Principal Trumpet with the Denver Municipal Band, the Denver Brass, the Denver Brass Quintet, and performs with the Aries Brass Quintet.
