Conductor of Amadeus String Orchestra
North Carolina native, Diamond Milner began playing violin at 10 years old in the Cumberland County school system. She maintained her passion for strings and music through grade school and college. She received her bachelors in Music Education from Methodist University in 2020 graduating with honors.
During her time at Methodist University, she began the Methodist University Chamber Orchestra which continues to perform to this day. She also joined the University Chorale and discovered a love and passion for singing. During her time with the Chorale, Diamond had the opportunity to perform in various states including New York at Carnegie Hall. She was also part of an international tour to Italy.
After graduating college, she gained 3 years of teaching experience with orchestra grades 5-8, and elementary general music.
Outside of the classroom, Diamond can be found spending time with her husband, Daniel, who serves in the US Army, and her Australian cattle dog, Nash. She is a strong advocate for providing musical opportunities for students outside of school and is grateful to be working in a community with wonderful music educators and students. Diamond looks forward to having a wonderful season with the Amadeus String Orchestra and can’t wait to start working with more talented young musicians.
