Encore! Youth Orchestra

Rehearses: Tuesdays, 6:45-8:45 p.m.

Encore! Youth Orchestra is for intermediate-level young musicians, offering them their first experience in a full orchestra.

Encore musicians begin the season at a three-day camp in the Colorado mountains where they meet their fellow orchestra members and have an intensive musical experience with their conductor and coaches. Musicians hone their musical and leadership skills with weekly rehearsals, which include large-group rehearsals and sectional rehearsals with professional musicians. Those skills are then highlighted at three or four community concerts, and during a regional to two- to three-day tour. Two concerts--the Holiday Pops and the Spring Spectacular--give musicians the opportunity to play in the Pikes Peak Center, a professional-level venue.
