Jesse Maurer is a public school orchestra teacher. He has been teaching since 2007, and during that time, he has taught middle and high school orchestra classes. Mr. Maurer earned his Bachelors of Music Education Degree from Colorado State University-Fort Collins in 2007. While at Colorado State University he studied violin under Wil Shwartz and Ronald Francois, and performed in the CSU Symphony and CSU Chamber orchestra under the direction of Wes Kenney. Jesse attended Central High School in Grand Junction Colorado, during his high school years he studied violin under Carlos Elias, participated in the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Grand Junction, and attended All State Orchestra in 2001. Mr. Maurer performed with the Chamber Orchestra of Colorado Springs from 2010-2014, under the direction of Thomas Wilson. When not teaching or performing music, Jesse likes to spend time in the outdoors and playing with his husky Trek.
