Jesse Maurer has been teaching music in the Colorado Springs area since 2007, and during that time, he has taught middle and high school string orchestra classes, coached violin sections and percussion ensembles, and performed with the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs. Mr. Maurer earned his Bachelors of Music Education Degree from Colorado State University-Fort Collins in 2007. While at Colorado State University he studied violin, chamber music, bassoon, and was twice elected music director of the Phi Mu Alpha mens choir. He has been with the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony Association since the 2014-2015 season and teaches at Russell Middle School of Performing Arts in Colorado Springs School District 11. Mr. Maurer strives to achieve the highest level of music education and performance, highlighting the joy the journey can bring.
